Our Business

Meadowvale Psychological Services operates as a fee-for-service clinic. Clients may have access to insurance coverage for psychological services through their existing extended health-care benefits, and are encouraged to review this with their insurance company . Our rates are affordable, and we encourage potential clients to recognize that there is no better investment than mental health.

 

Clinical Director

Ms Christina Papadopoulos is a registered member of the College of Psychologist of Ontario, with over 20 years of clinical experience. She holds an honours undergraduate degree in psychology from McMaster University, and completed her graduate studies at the University of Toronto, Institute of Child Study, in psychological assessment and counselling. She has extensive training and experience treating children, adolescence, adults, and families with a wide variety of psychological and emotional problems. She strives to help people overcome life's challenges and lead productive and happy lives. She practiced for over 10 years in a number of Ontario hospitals and nine years ago she founded Meadowvale Psychological Services where she continues to provide comprehensive and compassionate treatment to those seeking help.

Clinical Associate

Mr. Nauman Qureshi holds a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from Lakehead University, Thunder Bay, Ontario. He has also completed a two-year postgraduate training program at the Gestalt Institute, Cleveland, Ohio, and has taken additional training at the Cleveland Institute of Rational Emotive Therapy. Mr. Qureshi has more than 27 years of clinical experience in treating adults, couples and families for problems such as depression, anxiety, interpersonal issues, identity problems and marital conflict.

In addition, he has carried out psychological assessments of children with autism, dyslexia, attention deficit disorder with or without hyperactivity, as well as emotional and behavioral problems. He has worked in three countries - the United States, Pakistan and Canada - and speaks English, Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi.

 

Clinical Associate

Dr. Anita Ramani is a registered member of the College of Psychologists of Ontario with over 10 years of experience in the area of assessment, and intervention of children with developmental and emotional difficulties. She provides therapy and assessment with a variety of problems including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Learning Disabilities, ADHD, social and emotional problems. In addition, she is a board certified behaviour analyst.

Her services include the following:

  • Diagnostic assessments for childhood disorders for e.g., autism, learning disorder etc..
  • Assessment of educational needs by evaluating cognitive abilities, academic skills, and other factors that influence school success
  • Comprehensive reports produced that include specific recommendations for home and school to address learning difficulties and maximize strengths
  • Consultations to parents and schools
  • Gifted assessments
  • Treatment of anxiety, depression, and anger in children.
  • Behavioural assessments and treatment plan
  • Problem solving skills for children with High Functioning Autism and Asperger’s Disorder
  • Supervision of Intensive Behaviour Intervention (IBI) programs for children with Autism
